Steve Nicolle
Chief Executive Officer
Steve Nicolle joined STI as CEO in January of 2010, having spent the previous 10 years in CxO roles at venture-backed technology companies, including: CEO of Tatara Systems and Sigma Systems, COO at March Networks, Chairman of Searidge Technologies, and President of Nortel’s Service Provider eBusiness Solutions Group.
Steve is a computer science graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Steve started his career at Bell Northern Research as a software developer before smarter minds realized he was much less dangerous as a manager than a programmer. Steve is a dual, Canadian-American citizen and now shares his time between Boston, where he lives, and Halifax, where he works.
Born in Prince Edward Island, Steve still has an affinity for mussels and potatoes and thinks poutine is the best food innovation in the last 100 years.
Bill Adams
Vice President and General Manager of Diagnostics and Pharmacy Programs
Bill Adams is the Vice President and General Manager of Diagnostics and Pharmacy Programs with STI as well as a co-founder of STI. In 2008 Bill was honoured to have been the recipient of the “Manning Innovation Award“for the successful invention and commercialization of STI. Bill graduated with both Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), from Dalhousie University providing a strong foundation for his career. This foundation combined with over 18 years of pharmaceutical industry experience provides Bill with ideas to grow and innovate by focusing on client brand challenges and developing optimal solutions to those challenges. Bill’s common sense approach and his focus in both the diagnostic and pharmacy sector assist him in making successful client programs that leverage the numerous benefits that can be realized by well executed programs delivered through pharmacy.
Bill lives in Halifax with his wife Lynne and despite his enjoyment of competitive sailing, he does not enjoy being hit by a cold Atlantic Ocean wave.
Paul Tobin
Vice President and General Manager, Pharmaceutical Division
Paul Tobin is currently the Vice President and General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Division of STI and is also one of the original co-founders that helped launch STI onto the Canadian Pharmaceutical market in January 2002.
Paul is a graduate of Saint Francis Xavier University where he obtained bachelor degrees in both Science and Business. Paul was successful in leaving from St.F.X. and going directly into a management role with the Royal Bank of Canada and then on to a successful career in pharmaceuticals that ranged from representative on through to management. In his current role at STI Paul utilizes his 18 years of experience in the Canadian Pharmaceutical Industry as a whole to bring great value and even better solutions to STI’s clients by utilizing the platform that he helped create.
Paul’s experience working with clients in an industry with ever-changing needs has helped STI create some very innovative and practical solutions that have helped clients be successful.
Paul currently lives in Halifax with his wife and three kids, but those who know him know he will always be a proud Cape Bretoner...he prides himself on being a bilingual Canadian as well...speaking both English and Cape Bretonese!
Greg Patey
Co-Founder, Vice President
Greg Patey is currently the Vice president of STI and is one of the original Co-founders. Greg brings his significant management and operational business experience to STI. Through working in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 23 years with leading manufacturers, Greg brings in-depth cross functionality in the areas of Sales Management, Professional Affairs and Market Access, Senior Product Management, and International Business. He has been educated at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Fisher Technical College and will finalize his Executive MBA from St. Mary’s University in April 2011.
Greg considers himself a “good Newfoundlander” and can be found on his off time fishing for that elusive Atlantic salmon and assures everyone that one day he will catch one!
Tim Gillis
Chief Financial Officer
Tim Gillis joined STI as Chief Financial Officer in July 2010, bringing over 16 years of financial management experience across a number of disciplines. He has held senior financial management roles for Jacques Whitford Limited, Clarke Inc., Clear Picture Corporation and Ernst & Young LLP. Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University with distinction, CA and CFP designations and is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia, the Financial Planners Standards Council, and the Board of Directors of the United Way. Tim has in-depth experience in financial and management reporting, strategic planning, process improvement, taxation and acquisition due diligence.
Tim grew up in a small town on Nova Scotia's south shore with childhood visions of one day living in a far off exotic city. He reached 100 kilometers and has called Halifax home ever since!
Oliver Nemeskeri
VP Operations
Oliver joined STI as VP of Operations in January of 2011, after spending the past 16 plus years in the technology industry. Throughout his career Oliver has held roles as: Director of Project Management at Cyberplex, VP of Solutions, Delivery and Marketing at Medusa Medical Technologies, and has been a partner of Spirit Spa with his wife Linda since 2002.
Oliver is a Dalhousie grad with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing. Oliver gained entry into the IT world through his position as Art and Technology Director at Cossette, where he learned to combine his love for technology and marketing which has become his art throughout his career.
Oliver is known to suffer from "ski fever" in the middle of summer and is one of a handful of Maritimers who looks forward to winter. In his spare time, you'll find him skiing with his family at one of the local hills or planning his next alpine getaway.
Simon Roberts
Director of Marketing & Business Development
Simon joined STI as Director of Marketing and Business Development in March 2011 bringing close to 23 years of experience in healthcare to the company. The majority of those years have been spent in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic businesses taking on senior leadership roles in almost every functional area including sales, marketing, government affairs, and most recently strategic account management with Roche Canada.
Armed with a science degree from Acadia University and training in a variety of pharmaceutical specialties, Simon brings to STI a creative spirit that will drive marketing initiatives and a wealth of industry contacts to complement the business development activities. He is also very excited about being a part of the incredible growth opportunity both personally and professionally with STI.
When not doodling on the wipe board in his office, Simon is regarded as the least aerodynamic road cycling racer in the province along with being the most likely to hit a golf ball into a different county. While his kids like his golf clothes they wish he would wear less spandex.
Corinne Tobin
Director of Pharmacy Solutions
Corinne Tobin joined STI in April 2011 as the Director of Pharmacy Solutions. She brings 20 years of experience from various positions within the pharmacy profession including pharmacy practice, the pharmaceutical industry and academia.
After spending 10 years in pharmaceutical sales, Corinne went back to her roots at Dalhousie University’s College of Pharmacy from which she is an alumnus. As the Pharmacist Coordinator of Continuing Pharmacy Education, Corinne developed educational programs to assist pharmacists in preparing for their expanding role in health care.
She is actively engaged in the pharmacy profession as a member of the Board of Directors for the Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia and a member of a national working group on the framework for pharmacy services. Passionate about the future of pharmacy, Corinne is excited to see how STI can help pharmacy evolve.
