These are challenging times for pharmacy, and STI understands. A pharmacy is first and foremost concerned with patient care, but it is also a competitive business.  With the introduction of recent reforms, the traditional model for running a successful pharmacy is under siege.  Generic reform has removed a significant revenue stream and although the promise of expanded pharmacy professional services looms, the reality is that the implementation of those services is lagging and the payer model is vague.  

STI was founded on the belief that pharmacy and pharmacists play an integral role in a patient’s overall health care.  The fundamental principle that all drugs should be dispensed by pharmacy was embodied in STI’s pioneering card-based alternative sampling solution.  Since that solution was introduced in 2002, STI has driven millions of prescriptions to pharmacies across Canada.

From its inception, STI has taken care to consult with pharmacists in the design of our solutions in order to ensure that they fit easily and seamlessly with pharmacy systems and processes.  STI’s cards are processed by thousands of pharmacies  across Canada – everyday. Beyond sampling, we have expanded our portfolio to offer patient benefit and patient assistance solutions. These new solutions allow pharmacy to provide their patients with choice and access to the right medications, at the right price.
